Cetyl Palmitate is an ester of cetyl alcohol and palmitic acid which is naturally occurred in plants and animals. It has a chemical formula of C32H64O2 with an average molar mass of 480.8 grams per mol. It is also known as hexadecyl palmitate which is formed by the condensation of the ingredients such as palmitic acid and alcohol. It can be used in cosmetic industries as a thickener and emollient to make products like soaps, lotions, shampoos, perfumes, toothpastes etc.
